We are officially 3 months out.  No panicking yet.

On Wednesday night we got a chance to eat dinner with Julie and Kevin (my Aunt and Uncle), along with their soon-to-be-adopted foster son Spencer.  Spencer is an incredibly cute kid, and it was fun to get to meet him finally.  During dinner Julie and Kevin were nice enough to share some of their wedding/marriage experiences with us.  They had some good insights to share (and lessons learned from experience).  It was really nice to spend time with our Californians and we’re looking forward to seeing them at the wedding.

Here’s a recent pic from when Lisa’s parents visited.

Teqnacht and Minni both hit level 80 yesterday, so we are maxed out and ready to raid.

We had our second dress rehearsal for Madison Opera’s Faust tonight. Everything seems to be coming together and I think it’s going to be a great production. The principals and the chorus sound great. The costumes and make up look fabulous. Everybody knows what they are doing and when they are doing it. The sets are … oh, I really think the sets look great and lots of cast members have commented on how pretty everything looks.

We’ve had a few onlookers, but tomorrow we have a larger audience for our daytime dress rehearsal– school kids and a select group of adults (it’s a ticketed event). I’m excited and am taking the day off from work since I need to be at the Overture Center by noon.

Performances are Friday night (the 15th) and Sunday afternoon (the 17th). I guess by this time next week I will be missing the routine of evening rehearsals that I’ve settled into the past few weeks. I know Michael misses me a little when I’m gone a lot, though, and it will be good to have time for other things (like wedding planning). However, I have had a great experience and would happily be a super in future Madison Opera productions.
