I was surprised. I thought the week after Thanksgiving would really drag, but it was a very fast, busy week.
We had Artie and Guffey over Monday and Tuesday nights and spent time with them watching Futurama (season 2, I think) and Guffey’s 2007 Birthday Movie, Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai. It was an excellent choice. Happy Birthday, Guffey!
I met PhysOrg out for dinner at Erin’s Snug Irish Pub, a relatively new place over on the East side, Wednesday night and we picked up a copy of Hot Fuzz to watch at home afterwards. It was a “date night.” I like having those every now and then.
Thursday night we made another attempt on Zul’Aman, brought down the bear boss for the third time, and got the eagle boss down to about 20%.
Friday night we had PhysOrg’s dad over for dinner and watched National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.
I have a hankering to watch Love, Actually again before Christmas, so hopefully we will find time to do that in the next few weeks.
I had scheduled PhysOrg and myself to attend a couples’ massage class (through Meriter Hospital) today, but the instructor called to cancel and re-schedule it last night, due to the weather forecast. Winter storm warnings are in effect all day today and the radar looks pretty awful. Snow, ice, and freezing temperatures …
I hope my Wisconsin buddies all stay off the roads as much as possible today. I think we’re going to hunker down here in our pajamas and maybe hit up the “special eggnog.”*
*as my sister would call it
