Someone recommended Mitchell Park Conservatory as a wedding venue. I think it’s a little too small for that, but it might be a fun place to visit one weekend.

The Ice is pocked with Saltpox scars
On the first day of March, mealy ice is much nicer to walk on than frictionless, glossy ice.
Alice and I just returned from having brunch with Athena at The Original Pancake House (not sure about the authenticity of the name, but it’s a very popular place to have breakfast on the weekend) and dropping her off at Memorial Union so that she can head to Chicago and, from there, to Ireland for a week of travel and fun.
We haven’t seen too much of Athena lately, which is sad because she’s a lot of fun and she was my roommate before we bought a house. She has been quite busy with the MBA program she started last Fall.
Michael, Alice, Josh and I met up with Colin* at Monty’s Blue Plate Diner for dinner last night and headed across the street to the They Might Be Giants concert at the Barrymore. I am not really all that familiar with TMBG– I’d say I had heard maybe a handful of their songs before– but I had a pretty good time nonetheless.
On a completely unrelated topic, I wanted to share this NY Times article with people.
Michael has come down with something that seems to be the flu and has not been feeling well since Thursday. I am about to run out to do a few errands, but I imagine it’s going to be a weekend for rest and recovery for the most part.
*and Lindsey, but she did not go to the concert with us
